Seeing things differently or just kidding yourself?
Perception is largely a result of conditioning.

Just for Fun

What we perceive is largely a result of how we have been conditioned. And the way we perceive our environment is what makes us different from other animals and from each other.

Are the lines parallel ?

Are the thick lines parallel ?

Stare at the dot, then lean forward and back.

ILLUSION #1 -- The staggered upright lines create the illusion that the lines between them are not parallel.

ILLUSION #2 – The diagonal lines moving away from the centre create the illusion of depth, which makes the horizontal lines seem to bend in the centre.

ILLUSION #3 – The relative sizes of the other circles skew your perception of the middle circles, creating the illusion that they are different sizes.

ILLUSION #4 – The circles of diamonds seem to rotate if you focus your eyes on their centre.
